Cheese Corn Momo

 What we need?

  1. Boiled Corn - 2
  2. All Purpose Flour/Maida - 2 cups
  3. Finely chopped Onion - 1 cup (2 Big onion worked fine ๐Ÿ˜‰)
  4. Finely chopped Garlic Cloves - 10 to15 garlic cloves
  5. Grated Ginger - 2 to 3 Tsp
  6. Finely chopped Green Chili - 3 to 4
  7. Black pepper powder - 2 Tsp
  8. Salt - To taste
  9. Grated Cheese - 1/2 cup
  10. Oil - 1/2 tsp
  11. Water - for kneading

How to make the dough?



  1. Bring the all purpose flour to a bowl
  2. Add Salt to taste (I used 1 tsp)
  3. Add water (warm water would be good for softer dough) slowly and keep kneading it for 5-7 mins
  4. Apply oil on top of the dough (greasing)
  5. Keep it rest for 20-30 mins

How do we make the delicious stuffing?


  1. Take the kernels of boiled corn in to a wide bowl and mix it with the copped onion, green chili, garlic, ginger. 
  2. Now spread the black pepper power and salt (to taste)
  3. Mix well

Let's make the wrapper!

  1. Make small balls from the dough and flatten it
  2. On a rolling pin dust some Maida/grease with oil
  3. Place the flattened (small ball) dough in the rolling pin and roll thin

Let's stuff it!

  1. Place a tsp of prepared stuff on top of the rolled thin wrapper
  2. Add 1/2 tsp of grated cheese

All set to wrap

  1. Pleat the edges of the wrapper slowly and gather the pleats to the mid
  2. Squeeze and seal the wrapper to make it look like a bundle

Time to Steam

  1. Pre-heat the steamer
  2. Arrange the prepared momo bundle in the tray (grease the tray with oil)
  3. Close the lid of steamer
  4. Let it steam for 10-15 mins
